Dripping Faucet?    http://www.sandiego-plumbing.com/tips.htm
This is usually because sediments are built up in the aerator. Try taking the old aerator off and replacing it with a new one. They only cost a couple of dollars. If this didn’t do the trick… you may need new washers and seats, or a new faucet altogether. If its a single handle shower faucet.. you would need a new stem or cartridge. If you have a two or three handle shower – bath faucet… you may need new valve stems, seats and washers.

Water Pressure too high or too Low?
Go buy a water pressure gage, screw it into your spigot (after the water pressure regulator) and check. If it reads below 50 lbs p.s.i. or above 70 lbs p.s.i., give us a call. If over 80 lbs p.s.i…. it would be very dangerous and would need to change the water pressure regulator immediately! as your pipes could blow out and flood your home causing major damage. A safe pressure is around 55 – 60 lbs p.s.i. In fact… it is advisable that if your pressure is below 50 or above 70 the water pressure regulator should be changed just to be safe.

Toilet Clogged?
If your plunger didn’t do the trick, try using a toilet Auger. That’s what we would use. Sometimes the auger wont do the trick. If not… call us and we’ll come out and pull your toilet.

Jammed Garbage Disposal?
Make sure the garbage disposer is turned off first! Then use an allen wrench directly underneath and in the center of the disposal. Turn back and forth several times. This should break free the jam. Be sure to hit the re-set button if needed. It is usually located on the bottom as well.

Water heater maintenance
At least once every other year, turn thermostat temp down to warm, then turn water supply (valve) off to water heater, Hook up a garden hose to the water heater drainage at bottom of tank and drain completely. Flush a couple times by turning water on and off. Remove hose, turn off drainage valve and turn on water supply valve and refill tank. Open T&P or run water inside house during refill process to remove the air in tank.  This process will remove the sediment and increase the efficiency, save energy and life of your water heater. If not properly done… problems could result. Consult a plumber for complete and accurate process or call us for this service.

Got Roots?
If you keep having to call the drain guy because of roots in your line and don’t want to pay the price of fixing the effected pipe, use Root-X Root Killer at least once every 8 months. We are a dealer of Root-X and would be glad to supply this product for you.

Mainline Clog?
One way to tell if you have a mainline clog is if you run the water in sink next to toilet and your toilet starts bubbling. That means it is clogged.
